The Heroine Tarot

Illustrator Gina Schiappacasse approached me with an initial concept for a fashion-forward tarot deck featuring bold, diverse women. Together, we worked collaboratively to expand and refine the idea, transforming it into a fresh interpretation of the classic 1910 Rider-Waite-Smith deck (our inspiration). We blended Gina’s feminine illustrations with my clean, minimal creative direction to produce a cohesive and innovative deck designed to appeal to a modern audience, calling it ✨🔮 The Heroine Tarot 🔮✨

Our partnership was essential to every stage of the project’s evolution, allowing us to pull from both of our skill sets to make this idea a reality. I played a pivotal role in shaping the creative concept, guiding the overall visual direction, and co-developing the symbolic and thematic elements of the deck alongside Gina. I created the product’s design, graphic layout, and art direction. Behind the scenes, I led our successful Kickstarter campaign, which achieved over 200% of its funding goals with more than 250 backers. Throughout the process, I was responsible project coordination, production, photography, illustration guidance, copywriting and the creation of marketing materials to launch and promote our collaboration.
